Afro Helpline highlights community initiatives and projects that are helping African individuals, families and communities to develop and thrive in Australia.
African-Australian communities are very vibrant and full of dynamic individuals who are quite active doing different things, but these initiatives are not always widely communicated due to lack of resources. Mainstream media in Australian tend to focus on negative stories within African communities, hence taking attention away from the great initiatives that are regularly run by various community volunteers in their local areas.
